When is an equipment decision worth thinking through?

Choose your machinery before sowing

Check that your current tractor and seed drill suit the planned work. Ask the seller about the compatibility of the set, delivery and setup. Leave time in your plan for testing and learning to use it.

Before forage harvesting, you weigh a new machine

Mowing, raking and baling must work together. Look at the whole sequence of work and choose a machine that fits your existing equipment and team. Compare buying and operating lease for the same set.

After the season, you compare repair and replacing the machine

Gather your maintenance notes and next year's work needs. Ask for a quote for repair and for a possible replacement before the busy period. Decide which machinery to plan the next work with and what you can keep using.

How does an operating lease work?

After approval and the contract, we buy the equipment from the seller and give it to your company to use for the agreed time. During the contract we own the equipment. At the end of the term you can return the equipment or buy it out under the contract. We put the numbers side by side so you can compare for yourself. Sometimes the comparison shows that buying suits your company better.

Before comparing quotes

How does a new machine fit with your existing ones?

Check the tractor's power, connections and the implement's requirements together with the seller. Take the whole sequence of work into account so the new machine fits the way you already work.

What is the use over the whole year?

Write down the work periods and the months when the machinery stands idle. Plan the monthly payments into the whole year's cash flow together with maintenance and the company's other costs.

When does the machine really need to be ready for work?

Beyond delivery, allow for assembly, setup and testing. Ask the seller for a schedule of this work so the machine is ready before the season starts.
